Role Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Amazon QuickSight Developer/Engineer to support the migration of enterprise reporting from Tableau to Amazon QuickSight (Quick Suite).
This role focuses on :
- Recreating and enhancing Tableau dashboards in QuickSight
- Ensing functional parity and performance optimization
- Enabling business users to adopt QuickSight for self-service analytics
The engineer will work closely with business and data teams to translate existing reports, optimize datasets, and enable users to fully leverage QuickSight capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Tableau to QuickSight Migration
- Analyze existing Tableau dashboards, data sources, and calculations
- Recreate dashboards in QuickSight with equivalent or improved functionality
- Convert Tableau logic (LOD expressions, calculated fields, filters) into QuickSight constructs
- Ensure visual, functional, and data accuracy post-migration
- Identify opportunities to enhance dashboards during migration (not just replicate)
2. QuickSight Dashboard Development :
- Develop interactive dashboards, analyses, and datasets in QuickSight
- Design scalable, high-performance dashboards for large datasets
- Implement:
- Calculated fields
- Parameters and controls
- Drill-down and navigation flows
- Create reusable templates and standardized dashboard formats
Required Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience in BI / Analytics / Data Visualization
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight
- Experience working with Tableau (migration experience preferred)
- Robust SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with AWS data services:
- Athena
- Redshift
- S3
- Glue
- Experience enabling self-service analytics for business users
