Role Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer with strong SQL expertise to design, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, performance tuning, data modeling, and working with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

- Perform database design, schema creation, indexing, and data modeling.

- Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to ensure high availability and efficiency.

- Build and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.

- Collaborate with application engineers to support database-driven features.

- Perform database backup, recovery, and failover procedures.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues in production environments.

- Assist in database upgrades, migration, and automation initiatives.

- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience as a Database Engineer / SQL Developer.

- Strong expertise in SQL (T-SQL / PL-SQL / PostgreSQL SQL / MySQL SQL).

- Experience working with one or more major RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)

- Strong understanding of indexing, query execution plans, and database internals.

- Experience in database performance monitoring & tuning tools.

- Solid understanding of data structures, database theory, constraints, and normalization

- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python/Shell/PowerShell good to have)

- Understanding of version control systems (Git)
