Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly experienced Automation Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Python and Playwright to lead automation testing efforts for enterprise-scale applications.

The role involves technical leadership, test strategy ownership, client coordination, and team management, ensuring high-quality automation delivery across projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own the automation test strategy, framework design, and execution approach.

- Create detailed test scripting plans, execution plans, and testing schedules aligned with project timelines.

- Identify automation scope and prioritize test scenarios for maximum coverage and efficiency.

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.

- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks built on Selenium and Java.

- Ensure best practices in test automation coding, reusability, and maintainability.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results for functional, regression, and load testing.

- Prepare and share daily status reports and test execution reports with clients and stakeholders.

- Define, track, and implement testing metrics such as test coverage, defect leakage, automation ROI, and execution trends.

- Prepare comprehensive test summary and load test reports highlighting execution results and findings.

- Plan, execute, and analyze load and performance testing activities.

- Identify application-level hotspots, bottlenecks, and performance issues during testing.

- Prepare detailed reports highlighting performance observations and share them with client and development teams.

- Provide recommendations for performance improvements and optimizations.

- Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related discussions with clients.

- Coordinate with multiple client teams, including development, business users, and infrastructure teams.

- Gather inputs, clarifications, and approvals from users and stakeholders.

- Provide timely updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.

- Lead and manage automation testing teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to Test Engineers (TEs).

- Review automation scripts and execution results to ensure quality standards.

- Drive continuous improvement in automation processes and team efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on test automation.

- Mandatory hands-on experience with Playwright using Python.

- Strong experience in Java and Selenium-based automation frameworks.

- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.

- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and test execution in automated environments.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

- Proven experience in team handling and leadership roles
