Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Architect Selenium to lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale automation frameworks and testing strategies across our products.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Selenium-based automation, architecture design, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering best practices.

This is a senior technical role responsible for establishing automation standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring high-quality, stable, and scalable software releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define, design, and implement end-to-end automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.

- Architect reusable, scalable, and modular test automation solutions for web, API, and integration testing.

- Establish and drive automation strategy, standards, guidelines, and best practices across teams.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging automation tools, languages, and technologies to enhance test coverage and platform quality.

- Build advanced automation frameworks using Java/Python, TestNG, JUnit, Page Object Model (POM), BDD (Cucumber), or hybrid frameworks.

- Set up automation for regression, smoke, performance, and API tests.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.

- Lead, mentor, and guide automation engineers in scripting, tool usage, debugging, and framework enhancements.

- Review automation code, ensure consistency, and promote high engineering standards.

- Train QA and development teams on automation best practices.

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, DevOps, and QA teams to define test plans, strategies, and acceptance criteria.

- Partner with architects and developers to ensure automation aligns with product design and architecture.

- Provide technical direction during planning, grooming, and design discussions.

- Oversee execution of automated test suites, analyze results, and provide detailed defect reports.

- Optimize automation scripts for stability, performance, and reusability.

- Ensure proper test data management and environment setup for automation runs.

- Implement dashboarding and reporting using tools like Allure, Extent Reports, TestRail, or custom dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- 5-7 years of experience in automation testing, with at least 3 to 5 years in an architect/lead role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.

- Excellent programming skills in Java (preferred) or Python.

- Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and automation best practices.

- Experience with API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Karate, or similar tools.

- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline creation and integration.

- Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
