Location : Pune/Mumbai.

Role Overview :

The Quality / Testing Lead will own the quality assurance and testing function for the Core Policy Administration System (PAS) across all lines of business and the integration landscape of a General Insurance company.

The role will establish the testing strategy, governance model, tooling, and automation framework from the ground up, and will act as the independent quality gate for the programme ensuring that what is delivered by the PAS vendor, SI partners, and internal teams is tested end to end against business, financial, and regulatory expectations before go-live.

Key Accountabilities :

- Own the test strategy, test governance, and quality standards for PAS and integrations.

- Lead the testing team and govern testing performed by the PAS vendor and SI partners.

- Ensure end-to-end business scenario coverage across PAS modules and all integrated interfaces.

- Own defect management, quality metrics, and go-live quality sign-off.

- Build test automation, test data management, and regression capability for sustainable delivery.

Required Experience :

- 8 to 12 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 3 years in a lead role.

- Mandatory experience in the General Insurance industry, with hands-on testing of a core PAS across multiple lines of business.

- Demonstrated experience testing rating, premium computation, underwriting rules, claims, and commission flows.

- Strong experience testing API and integration layers, including partner, payment, and finance interfaces.

- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

- Strong SQL skills for data validation and back-end verification.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred.

- Insurance certifications (III / LOMA or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
