Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead (6+ years of experience) to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading test strategy, automation frameworks, and execution to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software products. You will work across frontend, backend, and cloud-based applications, driving test excellence, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the definition, design, and implementation of test strategies, frameworks, and practices for enterprise-scale solutions.

- Oversee manual and automated testing across frontend and backend components.

- Drive test automation initiatives using open-source tools such as Selenium (UI) and REST Assured (API).

- Ensure comprehensive coverage of testing in cloud-based environments (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).

- Review, guide, and contribute to the development of automation frameworks and reusable test assets.

- Lead performance testing and engineering efforts using tools such as JMeter.

- Manage test execution, defect tracking, and provide clear status reporting to stakeholders.

- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality.

- Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to a team of Quality Engineers.

- Advocate for Agile testing practices, CI/CD integration, and engineering excellence.

- Stay updated on emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve quality processes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 6+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality engineering.

- Proven experience in leading test strategy definition, planning, and execution.

Strong hands-on expertise in :

- UI and API test automation (Selenium, REST Assured).

- Performance testing (JMeter).

- Cloud technologies (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).

- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git).

- Solid understanding of Java, OOP concepts, and coding standards.

- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, Agile methodologies, and service-oriented architectures.

- Experience in mentoring and leading teams of Quality Engineers.

- Professional certifications such as ISTQB are an advantage.
