QA Automation Engineer Playwright & AI-Assisted Testing
Role Summary :
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium, and AI-assisted testing to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and executing automated test frameworks, validating complex business workflows, and leveraging modern AI technologies to improve test automation, test generation, and defect analysis.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Test Automation :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
- Automate end-to-end, regression, smoke, and functional test scenarios for web applications.
- Create reusable automation components and improve framework scalability and maintainability.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
2. Functional Testing :
- Analyze business requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate business processes and ensure complete test coverage across applications.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to identify and resolve defects.
3. AI-Assisted Testing :
- Utilize AI-powered tools to accelerate test case creation, automation development, debugging, and defect analysis.
- Demonstrate understanding of modern AI concepts including :
1. Large Language Models (LLMs)
2. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
3. AI Agents
4. Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted testing approaches to improve productivity and test quality.
4. Test Management :
- Manage test cases, execution cycles, and defect tracking using Jira and Zephyr.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
5. Communication & Collaboration :
- Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, and defects to technical and business stakeholders.
- Participate actively in client meetings, status discussions, and project reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
Mandatory Skills :
- Strong experience in Selenium Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework.
Good understanding of AI technologies, including :
1. LLMs
2. RAG
3. AI Agents
4. MCP
5. AI-assisted testing tools
- Strong functional testing knowledge and business process understanding.
- Experience with Jira and Zephyr for test management and defect tracking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with API testing (Postman or REST Assured).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of test reporting and automation best practices.
