Quality Automation Engineer - Selenium

Description :

We are looking for a QA Engineer (Performance & Automation) with a couple of years of hands-on experience in both functional and automation testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance testing, solid automation skills, and working knowledge of modern testing frameworks and tools.

This role requires end-to-end performance testing experience, exposure to OctoPerf, and strong fundamentals in JMeter, along with automation capabilities using Playwright with TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities :

Automation & Functional Testing :

- Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts for web applications.

- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing using automated and manual approaches.

- Work with Selenium for UI automation (preferred).

- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript (mandatory).

Performance Testing :

- Perform end-to-end performance testing including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.

- Design, execute, and analyze performance test scenarios using JMeter.

- Work with OctoPerf for cloud-based performance testing (mandatory).

- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

- Analyze performance metrics and prepare detailed performance reports.

Technical & Collaboration :

- Write and maintain Java-based test scripts and utilities.

- Participate in requirement reviews and provide early feedback from a QA perspective.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality at every stage.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.

Mandatory Skills :

- Playwright with TypeScript - Mandatory

- OctoPerf - Mandatory

- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter (concepts, scripting, analysis)

- Automation testing experience using Selenium (preferred)

- Java programming knowledge for test automation and scripting

Good to Have:

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)

- API testing experience using tools like Postman or Rest Assured

- Understanding of monitoring tools and performance metrics
