Quality Assurance Tester - Selenium/Appium

Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver high-quality, user-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Execution :

- Review requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to understand application behavior.

- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and/or automated).

- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT test cases.

- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools.

Quality Assurance & Defect Management :

- Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure defect resolution.

- Ensure test coverage across functional, non-functional, and edge-case scenarios.

- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and clarify defects.

- Maintain clear documentation of test results and quality metrics.

Automation & Tools (If Applicable) :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium (if required).

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

Performance & Compliance Testing (Optional) :

- Assist in performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter.

- Ensure applications meet security, usability, and compliance standards.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Contribute to improving QA processes, test strategies, and best practices.

- Provide feedback on usability and product quality from an end-user perspective.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

- Experience in manual testing; automation experience is a plus.

- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).

- Understanding of databases and basic SQL queries (preferred).

- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
