Description :

We are seeking a skilled QA Tester to support the upgrade of OpenText ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) from version 15 to version 25.

The role involves validating the upgraded environment, ensuring data integrity, testing workflows, and verifying compatibility of customizations and integrations, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical domain compliance, validation standards, and collaboration with the ALM upgrade and migration team.

Key Responsibilities :

Upgrade Validation :

- Collaborate closely with the ALM upgrade and migration team to plan and execute testing activities.

- Validate successful migration of projects, users, and configurations from ALM v15 to v25.

- Perform smoke testing on upgraded environments.

Functional Testing :

- Test core ALM modules (Requirements, Test Plan, Test Lab, Defects, Dashboard) post-upgrade.

- Validate ALM Client Launcher and Excel Add-in functionality.

- Test SCCM and Intune deployment packages for ALM Client Launcher and Excel Add-in to ensure proper installation and configuration on endpoints.

Integration Testing :

- Test integrations with external tools such as UFT.

Data Integrity & Reporting :

- Ensure all historical data, attachments, and audit logs are intact.

- Validate reporting dashboards and custom reports.

Compliance & Regulatory Testing :

- Ensure ALM upgrade meets GxP and CSV (Computer System Validation) requirements.

- Perform IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification) testing and documentation.

- Prepare and maintain validation documentation as per pharma regulatory standards.

Performance & Security :

- Conduct basic performance checks on upgraded ALM instance.

- Validate user roles, permissions, and security settings.

Defect Management :

- Log and track upgrade-related defects in ALM.

- Work closely with upgrade team to resolve issues.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience on authoring, updating, executing test cases, logging defects.

- Hands-on experience with ALM/QC (v15 or higher).

- Understanding of ALM modules and workflows.

- Familiarity with ALM Client Launcher, Excel Add-in, and Web Client.

- Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and documentation.

- Experience in data validation, integration testing, and pharma compliance.

- Basic SQL skills for backend verification.

- Pharma domain experience with :

1. GxP compliance

2. CSV (Computer System Validation)

- Knowledge of Change Management processes and tools like ServiceNow.

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience with ALM upgrades or migrations.

- WAST (Windows Application Software Testing) experience for packaged components.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
