Quality Assurance Tester - ETL/Data Testing

Location : Mumbai, Goregaon

Role Summary :

We are looking for a Data / ETL Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in ETL and data testing, good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, and automation testing experience. Basic exposure to C#/.NET is required to support test automation and backend validations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end ETL and Data Testing, including source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, and transformation logic checks.

- Validate data pipelines across staging, curated, and reporting layers.

- Test data loads (full & incremental), historical data, and data migration scenarios.

- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

- Validate and test Azure-based data pipelines and cloud data workflows.

- Perform backend and API testing to support data flow validation.

- Develop and maintain automation test scripts for data validation and regression testing.

- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business teams to understand data requirements and resolve defects.

- Prepare test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect documentation.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in ETL / Data Testing.

- Expertise in SQL (complex joins, aggregations, reconciliation queries).

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, especially data-related services such as :

1. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

2. Azure Data Lake (ADLS)

3. Azure Synapse / Azure SQL

- Experience in automation testing (any tool/framework).

- Basic working knowledge of C# / .NET.

- Experience in API testing (Postman / REST APIs).

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Good to Have :

- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, etc.

- Exposure to Databricks or big data testing.

- Experience in cloud-based data platforms.

- Domain experience in Banking / Financial Services / Insurance.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.
