Quality Assurance Tester - Data Platform

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Tester specializing in Data Platforms and ETL processes.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data systems, contributing to the success of our projects through rigorous testing methodologies.

Location : Bangalore Urban, India.

Work Mode : Work from anywhere.

Role : QA Tester (Data Platform/ETL).

What You'll Do :

- Perform data reconciliation between source systems (S3 files, PostgreSQL) and target Snowflake tables.

- Validate Snowflake scripting logic (SQL/stored procedures) used for ETL ingestion and processing.

- Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand requirements and define testing scope.

- Use SQL extensively to verify data accuracy, completeness, and business rule implementation.

- Track defects, test progress, and releases using JIRA.

- Support testing of backdating, T-1, month-end, and year-end scenarios.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular updates on testing status and issues.

What Were Looking For :

- 5+ years of experience in QA/testing roles, preferably in data platform or ETL projects.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.

- Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and documentation.

- Basic understanding of Snowflake architecture and scripting (SQL/stored procedures).

- Familiarity with Python for test automation or data validation scripts.

- Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
