Quality Assurance Test Lead - Manual/Automation Testing

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Test Lead with 10+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QA methodologies, a proven ability to lead QA teams, and strong technical skills across manual and automated testing frameworks.

As a QA Test Lead, you will drive the quality strategy, mentor team members, manage test planning and execution, and ensure high-quality delivery of software products in alignment with business goals.

Please note that we are looking for experienced candidates in robot framework and python scripting.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Strategy :

- Lead and manage QA teams (onshore and offshore), providing technical and strategic guidance.

- Define and implement test strategies, plans, and processes across multiple projects.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality goals and ensure alignment with project timelines and product requirements.

- Act as a quality advocate across cross-functional teams including development, product management, and DevOps.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.

- Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend systems.

- Ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing.

- Monitor test progress, report test results, and track defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.

Automation & Tools :

- Design and implement scalable automated testing frameworks.

- Evaluate and select appropriate test tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Cypress,

Playwright).

- Drive continuous improvement of test automation suites and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Mentorship & Collaboration :

- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical leadership and training.

- Lead QA stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Coordinate with DevOps and release management teams for deployment validation and release readiness.

Quality Metrics & Reporting :

- Define KPIs and quality metrics to assess product health and QA effectiveness.

- Provide regular test status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership.

- Lead root cause analysis of critical bugs and propose preventive measures.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of hands-on QA experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or test lead role.

- Proven experience in both manual and automated testing.

- Expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments.

- Strong knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, qTest).

- Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with databases for backend validation.

- Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.

- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud-native environments.

- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance) is a plus.

- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is an advantage.
