About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA Test Engineer with expertise in testing industrial communication and embedded systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in protocol validation, system integration testing, network analysis, and communication protocol testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for C++/C# communication systems.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and protocol compliance testing.
- Validate industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, and SNMP.
- Test communication and file transfer protocols including FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, ASCII, YMODEM, and XMODEM.
- Perform protocol debugging and packet analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, and similar tools.
- Validate interoperability between industrial devices, embedded systems, and software applications.
- Conduct ODBC/database testing and data validation.
- Collaborate with development teams for defect tracking and root cause analysis.
- Support Agile development, CI/CD, and continuous testing initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 6 to 8 years of Software Testing/QA experience.
- Strong experience in Industrial Communication Protocol Testing.
- Hands-on experience with:
1. IEC 61850
2. Modbus
3. DNP3
4. SNMP
- Experience testing:
1. FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP
2. ASCII, YMODEM, XMODEM
- Network analysis using Wireshark or tcpdump.
- Docker.
- ODBC & Database Testing.
- System Integration Testing.
- Linux Environment.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Good to Have:
- TypeScript/JavaScript-based test automation.
- SCADA or Industrial Automation testing.
- Power Systems domain knowledge.
- Performance and Load Testing.
- CI/CD exposure.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
