Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Test Strategy & Leadership :

- Define, implement, and govern comprehensive QA strategies for enterprise-wide migration and transformation programs.

- Lead and mentor QA teams across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.

- Establish quality gates, testing frameworks, and metrics to ensure successful project delivery.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA function.

Migration Testing :

- Lead end-to-end testing activities for migration projects involving IBM Integration Bus (IIB) to IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).

- Validate migrated services, interfaces, and middleware integrations to ensure functional equivalence and performance consistency.

- Develop migration validation strategies, data reconciliation approaches, and regression testing plans.

- Identify migration risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

API & Middleware Testing :

- Design and execute API testing strategies for REST, SOAP, and MQ-based integrations.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across middleware ecosystems.

- Validate message transformations, routing logic, service orchestration, and integration workflows.

- Ensure data integrity across source and target platforms during migration.

Automation & CI/CD :

- Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for API and integration testing.

- Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality assurance.

- Drive test automation adoption to improve efficiency and reduce release cycles.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish automated deployment validation processes.

Stakeholder & Client Management :

- Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with business users, architects, and project stakeholders.

- Define testing scope, acceptance criteria, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.

- Act as the primary QA point of contact for clients and leadership teams.

- Present testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Performance & Quality Engineering :

- Plan and execute performance, scalability, and reliability testing activities.

- Conduct mobile application testing where applicable.

- Ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

- Review and approve test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test execution results.

Defect & Release Management :

- Lead defect triage sessions and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

- Monitor defect trends and drive root cause analysis initiatives.

- Support production deployments, post-release validation, and hypercare activities.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise :

Core QA Skills :

- Strong experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Management.

- Expertise in Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT, and Migration Testing.

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Experience leading distributed QA teams.

API & Middleware Testing :

- SOAP UI (Open Source)

- REST APIs

- SOAP Services

- MQ-Based Integrations

- Strong understanding of middleware and enterprise integration architectures.

Automation & DevOps :

- Experience developing API automation frameworks.

CI/CD integration experience using tools such as :

- Jenkins

- Azure DevOps

- GitLab CI/CD

- Bamboo

IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) :

Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4i) :

- Experience validating migration of integration services between these platforms.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working directly with Middle East clients and multicultural teams.

- Strong consulting and client-facing experience.

- Exposure to cloud-native integration platforms and containerized environments.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud deployment models.

- Understanding of enterprise architecture and integration patterns.

- Relevant certifications in QA, Agile, IBM Integration technologies, or cloud platforms.

- 10+ years of overall Quality Assurance experience

- 5+ years leading QA teams

- Significant experience in enterprise integration and migration testing projects

- Proven track record of delivering large-scale transformation programs successfully

- Experience in IIB to ACE migration validation and testing is highly preferred
