Job Summary

As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance for our software products, with a specialized focus on performance, API, automation, and ETL testing. You will develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and scope for projects across various testing phases (System Integration Testing, UAT, Performance, etc.).

- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Conduct code reviews and promote best practices in all testing areas.

- Automation Testing : Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Python/Java).

- Performance Testing : Lead efforts in non-functional testing, including performance, load, stress, and scalability testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to ensure system responsiveness and stability under load.

- API & Backend Testing : Perform extensive API testing and automation for REST/SOAP services and validate messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) to ensure seamless integration and data processing.

- ETL & Data Testing : Oversee all ETL QA activities, including developing test cases for data warehousing solutions and ensuring data integrity using strong SQL queries for data validation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Experience : 9+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance and testing, with proven experience in a lead or management role.

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL).

- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies (REST, SOAP, Postman).

- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire team members.
