About the Role :
Were seeking a Domain QA Specialist who brings a deep understanding of customer workflows, business use cases, and HR technology.
This isnt traditional QA its quality reimagined from the outside-in.
Youll be accountable for validating our products not just for bugs, but for domain quality and business processes across the Phenom platform.
This role is ideal for someone with a Business Analyst or Product Owner background who understands customer workflows, product features, and domain-specific use cases and wants to apply that knowledge to drive quality, reliability, and release assurance.
Youll act as the bridge between customer experience and product quality, translating real-world customer requirements and issues into structured validations, regression scenarios, and risk assessments.
Responsibilities :
Customer & Business Process Understanding :
- Analyze customer workflows, configurations, and feature usage to identify critical end-to-end processes.
- Convert customer-reported issues into testable business scenarios and ensure theyre added to regression packs.
- Map persona-based journeys into validation coverage.
Validation & Release Readiness :
- Create and maintain a standardized set of validations based on industry and user persona.
- Repurpose the existing business process flows to incorporate changes based on enhancements made to product features.
- Execute end-to-end business use case testing.
- Support release readiness reviews by validating that features and fixes meet business process expectations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and QA to validate acceptance criteria and business impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work with Product Managers, Professional Services teams, Solution Architects, Dev Leaders and Product QAs to capture customer-specific risks and translate them into validations.
- Provide input to release impact assessments and early life support monitoring.
Continuous Improvement :
- Document and maintain generic, industry-specific, and customer-specific processes in a central knowledge base.
- Identify workflow gaps and propose solutions to Product/Engineering.
- Drive adoption of standardized sanity suites across products and releases.
Qualifications :
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Domain QA Specialist in HR Tech SaaS/enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of HR Tech, Recruiting, or enterprise business processes (ATS/CRM experience preferred).
- Must have experience with requirements gathering, process documentation, or user story definition.
- Experience in creating process flow diagrams using tools like Miro, Lucid, Draw.io or Visio.
- Exposure to test planning, UAT, or business process validation (formal QA experience is a plus, but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Postman, etc.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into structured test coverage.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
