We are looking for a highly skilled QA / Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation and Layer-3 networking protocols for a Datacenter networking project. The candidate will be responsible for developing automated test frameworks, validating networking features, and ensuring high-quality delivery for enterprise-grade switching and routing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Python.
Develop scalable test automation frameworks for networking products and features.
Perform functional, regression, system, and protocol validation testing.
Validate Datacenter networking technologies including VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF.
Work closely with development teams to debug and reproduce customer-reported issues.
Execute automated and manual test cases in Linux-based environments.
Analyze packet captures and troubleshoot protocol behavior.
Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure.
Work with traffic generators such as Ixia or Spirent for scale and performance testing.
Prepare test plans, test reports, and quality metrics documentation.
Required Skills
Strong experience in QA or Test Automation.
Excellent Python programming skills with strong understanding of OOP concepts.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest, Robot Framework, or Behave.
Good understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of Layer-3 networking protocols:
BGP
OSPF
MPLS
VXLAN
EVPN
Experience in protocol testing, packet analysis, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with networking tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Ixia or Spirent traffic generators.
Exposure to Datacenter switching/routing platforms.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Understanding of virtualization and cloud networking concepts.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced product development environments.
Experience in enterprise/datacenter networking domains is highly preferred.
