About the Role :
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications and platforms.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing along with strong API testing skills. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software releases in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Design, create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements and user stories.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
- Validate request/response structures, authentication flows, status codes, and API integrations.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects with proper root cause analysis and clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and QA estimations.
- Perform UI and responsive testing across browsers and devices.
- Maintain test documentation, bug reports, and QA reports.
- Support production validation and release testing activities.
- Continuously identify process improvements and contribute to QA best practices.
Required Skills :
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in Manual Testing of web applications.
- Mandatory experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Ability to create effective test cases from requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Understanding of responsive web testing and cross-browser compatibility.
Good to Have :
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Familiarity with SQL/database validation and backend testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to performance or security testing concepts.
- Experience working with REST APIs and JSON/XML payload validation.
Eligibility Criteria :
- B.E. / B.Tech degree in any discipline.
- Candidates with relevant QA project or product experience will be preferred.
