Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 1.5-3 years of experience in QA testing (manual and automation).

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver and Appium.

- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.

- Strong SQL skills, including writing and debugging queries for data validation.

- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Java or Python for test automation.

- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).

- Understanding of mobile and web application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device testing.

- Experience with defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in fintech or start-up environments.

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

Roles and responsibilities :

Manual Testing :

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to create test cases and scenarios.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency through rigorous backend validations using SQL.

- Log, track, and report defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.

Automation Testing :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium and Rest Assured.

- Build and maintain automation frameworks for mobile applications.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure testing is aligned with project goals.

- Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements during design reviews.

Test Management :

- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test strategies.

- Identify and document test metrics, test coverage, and test results.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices.

- Actively contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies.
