Role Overview :

As a QA Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality, stability, and performance.

Youll be responsible for developing and executing both manual and automated test strategies, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and UX teams.

Your work will directly impact the customer experience and reliability of high-traffic, mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts across web and API layers.

- Conduct manual exploratory testing for complex or critical areas not covered by automation.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java or JavaScript with tools like Selenium and Playwright (preferred).

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework and CI/CD pipeline.

- Automate regression suites, integration tests, and smoke tests for scalable test coverage.

- Write SQL queries to validate backend data, perform data integrity checks, and verify business logic.

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers during all stages of the software lifecycle.

- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Champion quality and advocate for best testing practices across the team.

- Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.

- Perform root cause analysis and recommend actionable fixes and improvements.

- Ensure timely delivery of test artifacts, documentation, and release reports.

Skills & Qualifications :

Required Skills :

- 7+ years of experience in QA and automation testing in an agile product environment.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java or JavaScript and automation frameworks like Selenium.

- Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and test data preparation.

- Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control (Git), and agile tools.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Playwright or similar modern automation tools.

- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG) and tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse).

- Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

- Familiarity with performance testing tools is a plus (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
