About the Role :

Zortech is seeking an experienced DB/ETL QA Engineer with strong hands-on skills in SQL, ETL validation, Big Data testing, and cloud-based data pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Engineering and QA teams to ensure high-quality data processing, reliability, and accuracy across large-scale systems.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise :

1. Strong SQL Skills :

- Ability to write basic to highly complex SQL queries

- Deep understanding of joins, aggregate functions, analytical functions

- Hands-on experience in debugging Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers

2. ETL Testing :

- Validating ETL workflows, transformations, and data movement

- Working with ETL tools or custom data pipelines

3. Big Data Testing :

- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)

- Validating large-scale datasets and distributed processing

4. Cloud Experience (Preferred AWS) :

- Working knowledge of cloud-based data systems

- Experience validating cloud pipelines and components

5. Pipeline & Workflow Testing :

- Experience working with end-to-end data pipelines

- Validating data ingestion, transformation, and output

6. Agile Methodology (Scrum) :

- Experience in Agile working environments

- Participation in sprints, refinements, and QA ceremonies
