Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Metro. In this role, you will act as the gatekeeper of product excellence, ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest standards of reliability and performance before they reach our end users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust test strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring seamless product delivery.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium to accelerate regression cycles and improve overall release velocity.

- Perform rigorous API testing using Postman and SOAP API to verify backend service integrity and data consistency across integrated systems.

- Execute complex database queries in MySQL to validate data accuracy and ensure backend processes align with expected business logic.

- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and rapid deployment cycles, reducing time-to-market for critical features.

- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders to ensure the final product aligns perfectly with user expectations and business goals.

- Maintain version control systems to manage test artifacts, ensuring traceability and collaboration across the distributed engineering team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end software testing lifecycles, with a proven ability to translate technical specifications into actionable test strategies.

- Strong technical proficiency in automation frameworks like Selenium and API testing tools such as Postman and SOAP API, coupled with the ability to write complex MySQL queries for data validation.

- Proven experience integrating automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines and utilizing version control systems to maintain high standards of code and test documentation.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A collaborative mindset that thrives in a hybrid work environment, balancing independent execution with active participation in team-wide quality initiatives.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in high-scale software environments.
