Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to improve product quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.

- Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test strategies.

- Identify, document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, and performance testing.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts and testing frameworks.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Ensure software quality standards, processes, and best practices are followed.

- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and recommend preventive measures.

- Support UAT and production validation activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.

- Experience in manual and automation testing.

- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.

- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
