Quality Assurance Engineer - API Testing

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 4-7 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in writing detailed test cases, functional testing, API validation, and bug reporting. Experience in system integration testing will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand product requirements, acceptance criteria, and user flows to design effective test scenarios.

- Develop clear, comprehensive, and well-structured detailed test cases.

- Perform functional testing of web/mobile applications to ensure product quality.

- Conduct integration testing, including testing interactions between multiple systems or services.

- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.

- Knowledge of SQL for basic DB validations.

- Validate request/response payloads and headers with strong understanding of JSON structures.

- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.

- Re-test, perform regressions, and verify bug fixes as part of continuous quality improvement.

- Participate in requirement discussions and test planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4 to 7 years of experience in Software QA / Manual Testing.

- Hands-on experience in writing test cases and test scenarios.

- Strong experience in functional and regression testing.

- Good understanding of integration testing workflows.

- Mandatory experience in API testing and validating JSON/XML responses.

- Ability to analyze logs, debug API issues, and identify root causes.

- Experience with any bug-tracking tool.

- Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

- Good communication and analytical skills.
