We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright and modern test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing robust automation frameworks, executing end-to-end testing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Playwright.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform manual testing for new features, exploratory testing, and validation where automation is not feasible.
- Create and maintain BDD test scenarios using the Cucumber framework.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality metrics.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, code reviews, and release validation activities.
- Continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks, and QA processes to enhance product quality.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7-9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on expertise in Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with the Cucumber framework and BDD methodology.
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Good understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other automation tools.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Exposure to SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in cloud-based testing environments.
