Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Mobile App Testing

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer Mobile Applications (Android & iOS)

About the Role :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test scripts, ensuring high-quality releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and manage test frameworks for mobile app automation (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, etc.).

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on mobile apps.

- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

- Ensure continuous testing by integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.

- Maintain test data and environments for consistent and repeatable testing.

- Provide clear test reports, metrics, and feedback to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3 to 6 years of experience in QA automation, with focus on mobile app testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.

- Solid knowledge of testing frameworks, scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).

- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (Android/iOS), APIs, and mobile debugging tools.

- Familiarity with tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, or BrowserStack for mobile testing.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based mobile testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
