About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based automation, mobile/device testing, API testing, and connected-device platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing Set-Top Boxes, Android TV, Fire TV, OTT platforms, or connected devices, along with strong debugging and automation skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Appium, TestNG, and Cucumber.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for OTT and connected-device applications.

- Test Android-based devices, Set-Top Boxes, Android TV, Fire TV, and related platforms.

- Perform API testing using REST APIs, Postman, and RestAssured.

- Use ADB for Android device testing, debugging, log collection, and device-level troubleshooting.

- Perform firmware testing and troubleshoot issues at the device level.

- Analyze application and device logs using Kibana/ELK and other debugging tools.

- Use tools such as Charles Proxy and Firebase for network monitoring, debugging, and issue analysis.

- Track and manage defects using Jira and test management tools such as Zephyr/Xray.

- Maintain automation code using Git/GitLab and support CI/CD execution through Jenkins.

- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

- Leverage GenAI and LLM-based tools responsibly to improve test automation and QA productivity.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Appium, TestNG, and Cucumber.

- Good knowledge of REST APIs, Postman, JSON, and RestAssured.

- Strong experience with ADB and Android-based devices.

- Hands-on experience with Set-Top Boxes, Android TV, Fire TV, OTT, or connected devices.

- Understanding of firmware testing and device-level troubleshooting.

- Experience with Git/GitLab and Jenkins.

- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, or Xray for defect and test management.

- Knowledge of Kibana/ELK, Charles Proxy, and Firebase is preferred.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in an Agile, cross-functional environment.
