Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Functional/Regression Testing

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to support and validate the functionality of both existing and new production workflow systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and executing test cases, automated testing, and debugging web interfaces and RESTful services. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless user experience and production-grade reliability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute manual and automated test cases to validate new components and enhancements to workflow systems.

Create and maintain automated test cases for regression testing of :

- Web-based user interfaces across multiple devices

- RESTful services and APIs

- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure compliance with technical specifications and business requirements.

- Reproduce and document user-reported errors for development teams.

- Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows.

- Contribute to user experience (UX) optimization through testing feedback.

- Log, track, and manage issues and tasks using JIRA or similar tools.

- Verbosely document test results, bugs, and issue details for engineering remediation.

- Travel up to 30% to customer locations as needed for on-site validation and support.

- Required Qualifications & Experience:

- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including:

- Test case and test procedure design

- Manual and automated testing

Experience with :

- UI and REST API testing/debugging

- Automated workflow systems

- JIRA or similar bug tracking systems

- SVN or other version control systems

- Strong skills in writing and executing test scripts

- Critical thinking and analytical ability to help design efficient and effective testing strategies

Technical Skills :

- Automation tools for UI and API testing (e.g., Selenium, Postman, REST Assured experience expected)

- Understanding of HTML, JSON, XML, and CSS

- Scripting or PHP coding experience is a plus

- Familiarity with test design best practices and Agile/Scrum methodology

Soft Skills :

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

- Willingness to take initiative and proactively identify issues and improvements
