Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, and Agile methodologies, with the ability to ensure high-quality software delivery across applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks and scripts

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing

- Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases

- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results for continuous improvements

- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable releases

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

- Prepare QA reports, test metrics, and documentation for stakeholders

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience in Selenium / Playwright / Cypress

- Hands-on experience with Java or Python

- Expertise in Automation Framework Development

- Experience in API Testing using Postman or Rest Assured

- Knowledge of JIRA, TestNG/JUnit, and Agile methodologies

- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

- Knowledge of SQL and database validation

- Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices architecture

- Performance testing knowledge using JMeter is an added advantage

Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
