ABOUT THE ROLE :

We're looking for a sharp, proactive QA Automation Engineer to lead the shift from manual-heavy testing to an automation-first QA culture. You'll be the person who builds systems that catch bugs before users do, integrates quality into every stage of the development cycle, and gives the engineering team the confidence to ship fast. You're someone who stays in the problem whether that's a flaky test, an unclear requirement, or a production incident until it's resolved.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites covering regression, smoke, and integration scenarios.

- Audit existing manual test cases and systematically convert high-value ones into reliable automated equivalents.

- Champion shift-left testing integrate QA gates into CI/CD pipelines so every PR is validated before merge.

- Define and track QA KPIs (coverage %, flakiness rate, automation ratio) and report progress to the team.

- Collaborate with developers during sprint planning to write clear, testable acceptance criteria.

- Conduct root-cause analysis on production bugs and strengthen test coverage based on findings.

- Evaluate and introduce testing tools and frameworks that improve velocity tool choice follows the problem, not habit.

- Mentor junior QA members and grow a culture of quality ownership across the engineering org.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR :

- 3+ years of hands-on QA automation experience in a product-focused environment.

- Strong proficiency with at least one modern automation framework Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.

- Comfortable writing tests in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java you use what fits best.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

- Familiar with test management and bug tracking workflows (Jira, TestRail, etc.).

- Strong analytical mindset you think in edge cases and failure modes, not just happy paths.

- Tenacious problem-solver : intermittent failures and hard-to-reproduce bugs don't discourage you they interest you.

- Clear communicator who can bridge QA, engineering, and product without jargon.

NICE TO HAVE :

- Experience with performance or load testing (k6, Locust, JMeter).

- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

- Exposure to mobile testing (Appium, Detox).

- Experience in ecommerce or high-traffic consumer platforms.
