We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will play a key role in building and scaling automation frameworks to support our release station. This role is highly hands-on, focusing on test automation for vehicle-related applications, backend services, and OTA delivery systems. Key Responsibilities :

Automation Development :

- Design, implement, and enhance automated test frameworks using Python, pytest, Appium, Selenium, and Robot Framework.

- Develop and maintain test suites for the web UI, backend APIs, and system-level validations.

Application System Testing :

- Automate functional and regression testing for 30+ applications that influence vehicle behavior, diagnostics, and OTA delivery.

- Perform manual smoke, sanity, and regression testing on Release Station applications to validate critical workflows and edge cases across environments.

- Ensure test coverage across all environments (Dev, Beta, Stage, Prod), including environment-specific configurations.

Integration with CI/CD :

- Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins, GitLab pipelines.

- Improve execution speed, test reliability, and reporting within CI/CD workflows.

Quality Ownership :

- Execute test planning, automation runs, and reporting for feature releases, regressions, and hotfixes.

- Track and manage test cases, requirements, and traceability using Jama,Zephyr, or 3DX.

- Log and track defects in JIRA, ensuring quick turnaround on bug fixes.

- Debug automation failures, analyze root causes, and ensure sustainable fixes.

Continuous Improvement :

- Drive improvements in automation frameworks, test coverage, and stability.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to align on quality goals and best practices.

- Share knowledge with peers and help uplift automation standards across the team (mentorship without formal lead responsibilities).

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 5-7 years of strong hands-on experience in QA automation for web applications, APIs, and microservices.

- Expert in Python scripting with advanced skills in Selenium for UI automation.

- Proficiency in Pytest and Robot Framework for backend/API testing.

- Solid understanding of REST API testing (status codes, headers, payloads, schema validation).

- Strong exposure to test management tools (Jama, Zephyr, 3DX) and defect tracking in JIRA.

- Familiar with BrowserStack or equivalent platforms for cross-browser/device automation.

- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to debug and resolve automation issues independently.

- Experience in testing distributed systems and microservices is a plus.
