Quality Assurance Analyst - Regression Testing

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive regression test plans and test cases.

- Perform both manual and automated regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes or enhancements.

- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and potential system impacts.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and document issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, QC/ALM).

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.

- Participate in release readiness and deployment validation activities.

- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating regression tests into build and release processes.

- Track and report test execution progress, quality metrics, and regression results to stakeholders.

- Work with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Continuously improve regression test coverage, frameworks, and testing processes.

Technical Skills & Requirements :

- Experience : 3 to 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on regression testing.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT).

- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#) for automation.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).

- Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.

- Experience in testing web, mobile, and API applications (Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI).

- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM).

- Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of defects
