As a QA Analyst, you will take ownership of the software testing process across Uniper's Energy Trading ecosystem. Your work will ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable trading solutions that enable faster and more efficient market operations. You will design test strategies, execute manual and exploratory testing, and contribute to the improvement of test frameworks and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, takes initiative, and thrives both as a strong team player and as an independent (sole) contributor on business-critical assignments.
Responsibilities :
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies by analysing business and technical requirements.
- Lead and manage full-cycle testing for energy trading software releases.
- Design and maintain detailed test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Support Traders and end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify and implement improvements in test infrastructure, tooling, and automation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams during design and development phases to ensure testability.
- Proactively drive testing initiatives and independently manage critical tasks or projects when needed.
- Monitor, track, and report test results and quality metrics.
Requirements :
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer.
- Experience testing trading applications in the Energy, Equity, or FX domains.
- Proven expertise in Manual testing : Functional, Regression, and System Integration.
- Strong test design and defect management skills using Azure DevOps, Jira, or ALM.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e. g., Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured).
- Professional fluency in English.
- Experience with Algo trading applications in energy or financial markets.
- Proactive and should be able to contribute independently
Preferred Qualifications :
- ISTQB or equivalent Software Testing Certification.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, or Tosca.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, BlazeMeter, or K6).
