Qentelli - Data Governance Analyst

Role & responsibilities :

We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to ensure data quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance across business processes. The role involves defining data governance standards, managing critical data elements, performing root cause analysis of data quality issues, maintaining data lineage, and collaborating with business and technical teams to support reliable reporting, analytics, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand business processes and identify critical data elements and their governance requirements.

- Develop and maintain data quality standards, governance policies, and procedures.

- Perform root cause analysis of data defects and coordinate resolution efforts.

- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and metadata.

- Support data lineage tracking, documentation, and data management activities.

- Monitor compliance with data governance policies and standards.

- Ensure data reliability and consistency for reporting, analytics, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

- Support data modeling and management activities across structured and unstructured databases.

Mandatory Skills :

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.

- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of database concepts.

- Knowledge of data modeling and data management principles.

- Understanding of data quality standards and data validation.

- Experience or understanding of root cause analysis and data issue resolution.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.

Preferred candidate profile :

- Knowledge of structured and unstructured database technologies.

- Familiarity with data governance and data quality tools.

- Understanding of metadata management and data lineage.

- Knowledge of data policies, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

- Experience in developing and maintaining data governance documentation.

- Exposure to reporting, analytics, and enterprise data management processes.
