Role : ServiceNow ITOM Developer

We're looking for a skilled and experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our team.

If you have over 5 years of ServiceNow development experience with a strong focus on IT Operations Management (ITOM), and you're passionate about optimizing IT processes through automation and advanced discovery, we want to talk to you!

In this role, you'll be key to implementing and enhancing our ServiceNow ITOM capabilities, ensuring accurate infrastructure visibility and efficient event management.

Responsibilities :

- Discovery & Service Mapping Implementation : Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors to accurately discover IT infrastructure components across diverse environments.

- Implement and configure Service Mapping to automatically create and update relationships between CIs, providing a clear service-centric view of the IT landscape.

- Event Management Configuration : Configure and optimize ServiceNow Event Management to consolidate events from various monitoring tools, filter noise, correlate events into actionable

alerts, and trigger automated responses.

- CMDB Management : Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by designing and implementing robust CI classes, identifiers, and reconciliation rules.

- Work on data normalization and reconciliation processes to maintain a high-quality CMDB.

- MID Server Configuration & Maintenance : Deploy, configure, and maintain MID (Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery) Servers to facilitate communication between

ServiceNow and various IT infrastructure components.

- Third-Party Integrations : Develop and manage integrations with third-party monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, SCOM, Dynatrace) to feed data into ServiceNow ITOM modules.

- Scripting & Workflow Development : Utilize JavaScript scripting, Flow Designer, and Business

Rules to build custom functionalities, automate ITOM processes, and enhance data

transformation within ServiceNow.

- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery, Event Management, CMDB, and integrations, optimizing performance and data quality.

- Collaboration & Documentation : Collaborate with IT Operations, development teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and provide technical guidance.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ITOM configurations, processes, and integrations.

- ITIL Alignment : Apply a solid understanding of the ITIL framework to align ITOM processes with best practices for service operations and continual service improvement.

Technical Skills :

ServiceNow ITOM Expertise :

- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a strong, dedicated focus on ITOM.

- Expertise in Discovery, CMDB, and Event Management modules within ServiceNow.

- Hands-on experience with MID Servers, probes, and sensors for data collection.

- Strong understanding of CI classes, identifiers, reconciliation rules, and CMDB data modeling.

- Experience with Service Mapping implementation and maintenance.

Integration & Scripting :

- Proven experience in integrations with third-party monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, SCOM, Zabbix, Dynatrace, Splunk).

- Proficient in JavaScript scripting within the ServiceNow platform.

- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and Business Rules for process automation.

- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integration purposes.

ITIL & Best Practices :

- Solid knowledge of the ITIL framework and how its principles align with ITOM processes (e.g., Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management).

Certifications (A Plus) :

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Operations Management (CIS-ITOM).

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
