Role Overview :

Were hiring a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong experience in ITSM, Service Catalog, and Service Portal development. This is a senior-level position requiring leadership in architecture, design, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions. Ideal for candidates who enjoy solving real-world problems through automation, UX enhancements, and scalable platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the technical architect for ServiceNow implementations, guiding system design, integration approaches, and scalability decisions.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and architect custom solutions using the ServiceNow platform.

Develop and configure :

- ITSM modules

- Service Catalog items

- Custom Portals (Service Portal/ESC)

- Chatbots and Virtual Agents

- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and web services.

- Conduct performance tuning to ensure high availability and scalability of the ServiceNow environment.

- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and enforcing best practices in coding and design.

- Establish governance standards, reusable components, and architectural documentation.

- Stay current on ServiceNow updates, new modules, and industry trends to advise on platform improvements.

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including architecture and solution design.

Expertise in :

- ITSM module configuration and customization

- Service Catalog & Service Portal development

- Virtual Agent/Chatbot setup

- Strong scripting experience with JavaScript, Glide, and Jelly.

- Proven experience with third-party system integrations via APIs/web services.

- Deep knowledge of platform optimization, performance tuning, and governance.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred certifications :

- Certified Application Developer (CAD)

- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)

- Certified System Administrator (CSA)

- Prior experience in technical leadership / mentorship roles.
