About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer with strong expertise in CMDB design, implementation, and integrations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in architecting and optimizing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to support enterprise IT operations, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and effective integration across ITSM and ITOM processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of the ServiceNow CMDB in alignment with organizational requirements.

- Define and implement data models, CI classes, and relationships in CMDB.

- Develop and maintain discovery patterns, identification rules, and reconciliation logic to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness.

- Integrate CMDB with other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and Discovery.

- Work closely with stakeholders to define data governance, normalization, and reconciliation policies.

- Implement data ingestion methods from multiple sources using MID Server, APIs, or third-party connectors.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure end-to-end visibility of IT assets and dependencies.

- Perform CMDB audits, data quality checks, and drive continuous improvement of the CMDB maturity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB data integrity, discovery, or integrations.

- Provide technical documentation, best practices, and training to internal teams.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5-9 years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow CMDB implementation and administration.

- Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CI class hierarchy, and relationships.

- Proven experience in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integration Hub.

- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, REST/SOAP web services, and ServiceNow scripting.

- Strong experience integrating ServiceNow CMDB with external data sources (e.g., monitoring tools, asset

management systems, or cloud platforms).

- Experience designing data normalization, reconciliation, and governance frameworks.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
