QA Tech Lead / QA Manager - Automation

Role Overview:

As a QA Tech Lead / QA Manager, you will spearhead the quality engineering strategy for our core product suite in Hyderabad. You will operate at the intersection of engineering excellence and product delivery, guiding a high-performing team of automation engineers to build robust, scalable testing frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software architects, and DevOps teams to integrate quality into every stage of the CI/CD pipeline. By championing a culture of test-driven development and automation-first thinking, you will directly influence the reliability of our platform, ensuring a seamless experience for our global user base and driving faster time-to-market for critical business features.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks that reduce manual regression efforts and increase overall test coverage for complex distributed systems.

- Mentor and lead a team of QA engineers by setting technical standards and conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable automation scripts.

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria and quality gates, ensuring that product releases meet stringent performance and security benchmarks.

- Analyze production defects and performance bottlenecks to implement proactive testing strategies that prevent recurrence and improve system stability.

- Drive the adoption of modern testing tools and methodologies across the engineering organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical innovation.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in designing automation frameworks from scratch using Java, Python, or JavaScript, coupled with a deep understanding of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage stakeholder expectations, effectively communicating complex quality metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong proficiency in integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to enable rapid deployment cycles.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes in complex microservices architectures and cloud-native environments.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, combined with the flexibility to thrive in a collaborative hybrid work environment in Hyderabad.
