Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Tester with 6 - 8 years of experience in software testing and Playwright automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright and possess strong knowledge of functional, regression, and API testing within Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.

- Build and enhance automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios.

- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA team members throughout the SDLC.

- Execute API testing and validate backend services.

- Report, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

- Maintain test artifacts, execution results, and traceability in tools such as JIRA and Octane.

- Support CI/CD integration and continuous testing initiatives.

- Provide testing status updates, identify risks, and recommend mitigation plans.

Required Skills :

Automation Testing :

- 6 - 8 years of QA automation testing experience.

- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright Automation.

- Strong experience in JavaScript or TypeScript.

- Experience implementing Page Object Model (POM) and data-driven frameworks.

- Experience with cross-browser and end-to-end automation testing.

Functional Testing :

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.

- Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, System, and Integration Testing.

- Ability to create and execute detailed test cases and test plans.

API & Database Testing :

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

- Working knowledge of REST APIs.

- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for backend data validation.

Tools & Technologies :

- Playwright, JavaScript / TypeScript, Git/GitHub, JIRA, ALM Octane, Jenkins or Azure DevOps, Postman, SQL.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience migrating automation scripts from Selenium or UFT to Playwright.

- Banking or Financial Services domain experience.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.

- Experience mentoring junior team members.
