Role Overview :

As a QA Automation Engineer at Learnyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our learning platform. You will work closely with product managers and software developers to define test strategies, execute rigorous testing cycles, and automate repetitive workflows to accelerate our release velocity. Your contributions will directly impact the end-user experience by ensuring that our platform remains stable, secure, and performant as we scale our features to meet the evolving needs of our global user base.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Java to reduce manual testing efforts and improve regression coverage.

- Execute comprehensive API testing to validate the integrity and performance of backend services and third-party integrations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile environment to identify potential bottlenecks early in the SDLC.

- Manage defect tracking and resolution workflows using Jira to ensure high-quality code deployments.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous delivery and rapid feedback loops.

- Conduct performance testing to identify system limitations and ensure the platform handles high traffic during peak learning periods.

- Perform mobile application testing using Appium to ensure a seamless experience across various devices and operating systems.

- Maintain version control of test scripts and documentation using Git to ensure team alignment and code quality.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in Java and Selenium for building scalable automation frameworks.

- Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced development cycles.

- Proven ability to perform API testing and analyze system performance metrics to optimize application responsiveness.

- Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools like Appium and version control systems such as Git.

- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate technical findings effectively to stakeholders.

- Ability to balance manual testing requirements with automation goals to ensure comprehensive product coverage.

- Strong collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a hybrid or on-site environment in Bangalore.
