QA Automation Engineer - Java/Selenium

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Create and manage scalable automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, and Maven.

- Develop regression, functional, smoke, and sanity test suites for web and API layers.

- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest-Assured.

- Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues, ensuring comprehensive defect tracking.

- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools to enable continuous testing.

- Analyze automation test results, identify flaky tests, and drive test coverage improvements.

- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and coverage.

- Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness through process improvements or tools.

- Maintain detailed documentation for test cases, defects, and automation frameworks.

- Ensure all automated tests are integrated into the nightly build pipelines.

- Collaborate with the QA team to define test strategies and enhance testing standards across the team.

Requirements :

- In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks and architecture.

- Experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle and test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.

- Proficiency with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).

- Hands-on experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo.

- Experience with cross-browser testing and automation on different environments.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
