Role Overview :

As a QA Automation Engineer / SDET, you will be at the heart of our engineering excellence, responsible for architecting and maintaining robust automation frameworks that ensure the highest quality of our product releases.

You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, backend developers, and DevOps engineers, to bridge the gap between development and testing. By implementing scalable automation strategies, you will directly influence the speed of our delivery cycles and ensure a seamless, bug-free experience for our global user base, ultimately driving business reliability and customer trust in our platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks from scratch to reduce manual regression efforts and accelerate time-to-market for new features.

- Collaborate with developers during the design phase to advocate for testability, ensuring that code is built with quality and maintainability at the forefront.

- Execute complex performance and load testing scenarios to identify bottlenecks, ensuring our infrastructure remains stable under high-traffic conditions.

- Analyze production issues and translate them into automated test cases to prevent regression and improve the overall stability of the application.

- Mentor junior team members and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high standards of automation scripts and engineering best practices.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback loops for the engineering team, enabling faster and more confident deployments.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

- Proven ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing, ensuring data integrity across distributed systems.

- Strong proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or RestAssured to validate service-level interactions.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical challenges and quality metrics effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

- A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment based in Bangalore, coordinating effectively across distributed teams.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation.

- Adaptability to evolving project requirements and a proactive approach to learning new technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
