Python Developer - Scripting

About the job :

Your responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Python scripts and tools for AIS (Automatic Identification System) vessel tracking data analysis.

- Digitize and convert marine seacharts into usable digital formats using geospatial libraries and tools.

- Write optimized SQL queries and manage spatial databases.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver accurate digital outputs.

- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and visualization quality in projects.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities.

Your profile :

- Proficiency in Python including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and optionally Geopandas, Shapely, etc.

- Working knowledge of PGAdmin and SQL.

- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

- Understanding of AIS data, vessel movement patterns, and mapping concepts (preferred but not mandatory).

- Good understanding of data structures, file handling, and data transformation.

- Basic knowledge of GIS tools or libraries is an advantage.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
