Python Developer - Object Oriented Programming

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Python software development.

- Strong proficiency in Python development, including object-oriented programming and modular application design.

- Strong working experience in Ubuntu/Linux environments, including command-line operations, package management, process monitoring, and system troubleshooting.

- Experience developing, deploying, and debugging Python applications on Linux-based systems.

- Familiarity with Linux shell scripting (Bash) and automation tasks.

- Understanding of Linux networking, permissions, services, and file system management.

- Experience working with remote Linux devices and troubleshooting connectivity or deployment issues.

- Experience working on production-grade applications, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and feature enhancements.

- Familiarity with GUI/application-level development concepts and user-focused software improvements.

- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests using frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.

- Good understanding of software debugging, logging, and troubleshooting methodologies.

- Experience working with APIs, integrations, and communication systems.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and agile development methodologies.

- Ability to analyze system logs, KPI outputs, and performance metrics to identify issues and optimization opportunities.

- Basic understanding of networking concepts, device connectivity, and WiFi-related troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of database concepts and experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Advantageous Experience :

- Experience with embedded systems, IoT devices, or telemetry/telematics platforms.

- Experience working with embedded Linux systems or Linux-based edge/IoT devices.

- Familiarity with Docker/containerized environments on Linux systems.

- Experience configuring and maintaining Linux-based development or deployment environments.

- Exposure to tablet/mobile application environments.

- Familiarity with remote device management or support tools such as TeamViewer.

- Experience with cloud-connected systems and device data pipelines.

- Exposure to agricultural technology (AgriTech), industrial automation systems, or smart sensing platforms is a plus.

- Basic understanding of networking protocols, serial communication, or hardware-device interactions is advantageous.

- Experience working in environments involving real-time data collection and operational monitoring systems.
