Python Developer - LLM/Generative AI

Role Info:

This role sits within the merchandising space, specifically around planning and negotiations between the business and suppliers. Right now, that process is highly manual - it involves back-and-forth over emails, spreadsheets, and calls, with no real system to track or manage it properly. The project is all about reimagining and building that ecosystem from the ground up.

Must Haves:

• Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using Pandas for large dataset processing.
• AI/LLM Integration Experience
• HLD and LLD experience
• Apache Airflow,Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
• APIs using Flask or similar Python frameworks
• Elasticsearch: indexing, querying, and optimizing for performance
• ETL frameworks and pipeline automation strategies
• Hive SQL and working with distributed data systems (Good to have)

• 5-12+ years of experience in professional Python development.
• Proven expertise in designing and building backend systems and APIs at scale.
• Strong experience with LLMs, GenAI integrations, Agentic workflows and AI-enhanced workflows.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in automated testing and observability best practices.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding the end-to-end workflow of how planning and negotiations currently happen.
• Identifying pain points and inefficiencies
• Defining what can be automated and what can be streamlined through tools like emails, chat interfaces, internal platforms, etc.
• And then designing and building a system that brings structure, automation, and visibility to the whole process
• Think of it as recreating the entire planning + negotiation flow, but this time with product thinking, engineering best practices, and a focus on scale and usability.
