Role Overview :

Colosseum Consulting is hiring for it's client, a Python Developer specializing in Edge AI & Video Systems, you will be instrumental in building the next generation of intelligent video analytics solutions. This role involves the end-to-end development and deployment of robust, high-performance Python applications that process and analyze video streams directly on edge devices. You will work closely with our AI/ML engineers, hardware teams, and product managers to translate complex requirements into scalable and efficient systems. Your contributions will directly impact our customers by enabling real-time insights, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving innovation in critical sectors, solidifying our position as a leader in IoT and Edge AI.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize Python-based applications for real-time video processing and AI inference on resource-constrained edge devices, ensuring high performance and reliability for critical deployments.

- Implement and manage robust video streaming pipelines using technologies like FFmpeg, GStreamer, RTSP, HLS, and MP4, facilitating seamless data ingestion and delivery for various client use cases.

- Integrate and deploy advanced AI/ML models onto ARM-based edge hardware, ensuring efficient execution and minimal latency for real-world applications.

- Develop comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions utilizing OpenTelemetry, providing deep insights into system health and performance across distributed IoT/edge deployments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications, system architectures, and API designs, ensuring alignment with product goals and scalability requirements.

- Conduct rigorous performance profiling and optimization of video processing pipelines and AI workloads on embedded platforms, maximizing throughput and minimizing resource consumption.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Python development for complex, high-performance systems, particularly within video processing and artificial intelligence domains.

- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with video frameworks such as FFmpeg and GStreamer, coupled with proficiency in computer vision libraries like OpenCV.

- Solid command of video streaming protocols including RTSP and HLS, along with experience in handling various video container formats like MP4.

- Proven ability to develop and deploy solutions on ARM-based edge devices, with practical experience in IoT/edge deployments.

- Familiarity with observability best practices and hands-on experience with tools like OpenTelemetry for monitoring distributed systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced, innovative environment in Mumbai.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
