Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django, and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based services.

The role involves developing backend business logic, optimizing database interactions, managing application deployments on Azure, and ensuring application performance, security, and reliability. The candidate will collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.

- Build reusable application components, business logic, and backend services to support enterprise applications.

- Design and optimize data models, database queries, and ORM operations for performance and reliability.

- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications using Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Azure SQL.

- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, JWT, and other security standards.

- Develop and maintain automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while ensuring adequate unit and integration test coverage.

- Perform debugging, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning activities.

- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver application features within agreed timelines.

- Follow software engineering best practices, including OOP principles, design patterns, version control, and secure development practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 4 - 6 years of professional experience in Python development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.

- Working experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.

- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Good understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

- Experience with database modelling and ORM-based query optimization.

- Knowledge of Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of OOP, data structures, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals.

- Experience writing automated tests using pytest or unittest.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

- Knowledge of Celery, Redis, and message queues.

- Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

- Exposure to microservices architecture and application monitoring.

- Azure certifications such as AZ-204 or AZ-900.
