Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Drive the expansion of BusPatrols suite of Python and Ruby-based web services.

- Engineer documented, scalable, and secure APIs from deprecated legacy systems.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to address ongoing challenges.

- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams.

- Contribute to an inclusive team environment that values pair programming and code reviews.

- Follow and promote best practices :

1. Continuous Integration (CI)

2. Agile/SCRUM methodologies

3.Code standards and refactoring

- Work with AWS Serverless technologies to deliver scalable applications.

- Continuously integrate relevant technologies into the product stack.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of software development experience.

- 1+ year of experience with Ruby (preferred).

- 3+ years with web frameworks (preferred: Django, Rails, or Rack).

- 1+ year experience with front-end frameworks: Angular, React, or Vue.js.

- Demonstrated experience with AWS services (preferred: Lambda, SQS, S3).

- Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Solid working knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- Proficient with Git and version control workflows.

- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

- Familiar with testing libraries (preferred: pytest, rspec, jest).

- Experience with code linters (e.g., Flake8, Rubocop, ESLint).
