About the Role :

We're seeking a skilled Python Automation Tester with 6- 7 years of experience to join our team. This is a contract-to-hire position for immediate joiners. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python coding, API automation, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks. You'll be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by developing, executing, and maintaining robust automation test scripts.

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Script Development : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.

- API Automation : Perform comprehensive API automation testing across various modules and systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

- BDD Frameworks : Implement and work with BDD frameworks (like Cucumber or Behave) to create tests that are clear, readable, and align with business behaviors.

- Collaboration : Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and business teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects efficiently.

- Test Coverage : Ensure that test cases cover all necessary functional, regression, and integration scenarios.

- Agile Participation : Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to contribute to a collaborative and efficient development process.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 6-7 years of total experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on, real-time experience in Python and API automation.

- Python Expertise : Strong Python coding skills are mandatory.

- BDD Frameworks : A minimum of 1 year of real-time experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Behave).

- Tools : Good exposure to and familiarity with development environments like PyCharm. You'll need to have PyCharm installed for the technical interview.

- QA & Agile : A solid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile processes.

- Communication : Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
